I listen more than I speak, which helps me understand people’s problems. I observe how people interact with products to learn who uses them, why they use them, and how products are used. From that perspective, it’s easier to create solutions to those problems. I find user experience design to be one of the few fields where the user’s goals align with business goals; happy customers equal brand loyalty and company success.
My experience working on both marketing and creative teams allows me to understand the importance of color theory, typography, branding and storytelling in design. It is most rewarding to know I have made a positive impact on people’s lives because I care about how people feel.
